Code 3006
Category: ConnectionMessage shown in BigBlueButton
Some live data could not be loaded. Please refresh your client (code 3006)
What it means
One or more GraphQL subscriptions (live data such as chat, polls or user list) returned an error.
Shown only if enabled: add this code to public.app.showConnectionErrors in /etc/bigbluebutton/bbb-html5.yml (by default only 3002 and 3004 are shown).
Likely causes
- Server-side GraphQL error or permission problem
- Too many open subscriptions
What to do
First, check who is affected.
- Only one or a few users: most likely a problem on the user's side, so follow the Student and Teacher steps.
- Everyone in one room: check that room/meeting (settings, meeting ended or recreated, room limits).
- Everyone in every room: most likely a server problem, so go to the Admin/server steps.
Students
Reload the page (F5) to restore the live data. Check your internet connection (Wi‑Fi signal or cable) before rejoining.
Teachers
If several people see it, ask them to reload the page.
Server admins
Check the GraphQL components (bbb-graphql-server/Hasura and bbb-graphql-middleware) and their override files in /etc/bigbluebutton/. Run sudo bbb-conf --clean, then sudo bbb-conf --watch while reproducing the error to see log errors live.
