What to do
This error comes from the server or API, so go straight to the server checks.
Students
Rejoin in a few minutes; if it persists, notify the teacher.
Teachers
Switch to audio-only slides until support responds. Tell participants it is a server-side problem they cannot fix themselves, and contact your admin. Do not keep retrying: the client treats this as a fatal error that usually means a server configuration problem, so contact your admin.
Server admins
Run bbb-conf --check, check bbb-webrtc-sfu logs for media adapter errors, and restart bbb-webrtc-sfu. Run sudo bbb-conf --clean, then sudo bbb-conf --watch while reproducing the error to see log errors live.
