Connection failure (ICE error 1107)

What it means

ICE failed for webcam or shared content video.

Likely causes

  • Same root causes as audio ICE 1007
  • Corporate firewall
  • No TURN relay

What to do

First, check who is affected.

  1. Only one or a few users: most likely a problem on the user's side, so follow the Student and Teacher steps.
  2. Everyone in one room: check that room/meeting (settings, meeting ended or recreated, room limits).
  3. Everyone in every room: most likely a server problem, so go to the Admin/server steps.

Students

Retry on another network; ensure camera permission is granted.

Teachers

Use audio-only mode temporarily while IT checks UDP.

Server admins

Validate coturn, external IP, and mediasoup ports on all scale-out nodes. Test TURN with the trickle ICE page: you should see relay candidates; if not, check the coturn logs. Open UDP 16384–32768 on the server firewall and test it with netcat as in the firewall guide.
