Code 1102
Category: Screen shareMessage shown in BigBlueButton
Code {errorCode}. Could not share the screen.
What it means
Screen sharing could not open its signalling WebSocket to the media server.
Likely causes
- Firewall/proxy blocking WebSockets
- bbb-webrtc-sfu or nginx down
What to do
First, check who is affected.
- Only one or a few users: most likely a problem on the user's side, so follow the Student and Teacher steps.
- Everyone in one room: check that room/meeting (settings, meeting ended or recreated, room limits).
- Everyone in every room: most likely a server problem, so go to the Admin/server steps.
Students
Try another network (for example a mobile hotspot) to check whether your current network blocks the connection.
Teachers
Do not keep retrying: the client treats this as a fatal error that usually means a server configuration problem, so contact your admin.
Server admins
Check that nginx runs and its config is valid (sudo nginx -t, /var/log/nginx/error.log). Run sudo bbb-conf --check and fix the problems it reports. Run sudo bbb-conf --clean, then sudo bbb-conf --watch while reproducing the error to see log errors live.
