What it means
The media server rejected the request as invalid (or the requested feature, e.g. full audio, is disabled).
Likely causes
- Feature disabled in bbb-webrtc-sfu
- Malformed client request
What to do
First, check who is affected.
- Only one or a few users: most likely a problem on the user's side, so follow the Student and Teacher steps.
- Everyone in one room: check that room/meeting (settings, meeting ended or recreated, room limits).
- Everyone in every room: most likely a server problem, so go to the Admin/server steps.
Students
Try another network (for example a mobile hotspot) to check whether your current network blocks the connection.
Teachers
Do not keep retrying: the client treats this as a fatal error that usually means a server configuration problem, so contact your admin. Tell participants it is a server-side problem they cannot fix themselves, and contact your admin.
Server admins
Run sudo bbb-conf --check and fix the problems it reports. Run sudo bbb-conf --clean, then sudo bbb-conf --watch while reproducing the error to see log errors live.
