Server-side media configuration problem

This error comes from the server or API, so go straight to the server checks.

Students

Try another network (for example a mobile hotspot) to check whether your current network blocks the connection.

Teachers

Tell participants it is a server-side problem they cannot fix themselves, and contact your admin.

Server admins

Run sudo bbb-conf --clean, then sudo bbb-conf --watch while reproducing the error to see log errors live. Restart BigBlueButton with sudo bbb-conf --restart, then run sudo bbb-conf --check. Collect logs with sudo bbb-conf --zip and ask on the bigbluebutton-setup group if the cause is unclear.
