Code 1006
Category: AudioMessage shown in BigBlueButton
Call timed out (error 1006)
What it means
The audio call timed out: FreeSWITCH did not answer in time.
Only raised by the SIP.js audio bridge; the default 3.0 bridge (SFU 'fullaudio') does not raise it.
Likely causes
- FreeSWITCH not responding
What to do
First, check who is affected.
- Only one or a few users: most likely a problem on the user's side, so follow the Student and Teacher steps.
- Everyone in one room: check that room/meeting (settings, meeting ended or recreated, room limits).
- Everyone in every room: most likely a server problem, so go to the Admin/server steps.
Students
Leave the audio and join it again; the client retries some audio errors automatically.
Server admins
If you use the SIP.js audio bridge, check FreeSWITCH: run sudo bbb-conf --check and look for SIP registration warnings. Restart BigBlueButton with sudo bbb-conf --restart, then run sudo bbb-conf --check. Run sudo bbb-conf --clean, then sudo bbb-conf --watch while reproducing the error to see log errors live.
